Yindii, a Thai startup in the food waste management sector, launches a mobile application tailored to the hungry cookers of Bangkok who serve delicious food that would otherwise be lost in environmentally conscious restaurants, grocery stores and cafes. With its discounted impulse sales, Yindii helps fight a growing social problem and allows restaurants to realize potential loss of income.

The Yindii mobile application is designed for direct communication with consumers and has been developed for restaurants and cafes that regularly make exclusive and direct happy hour offers with discounts of up to 50 – 70%. Once a Yindii box offer has been posted, users can purchase a Yindii box before going to a restaurant to pick up their items or have them delivered. Transactions are carried out electronically. Consumers can find out what’s inside when they open a surprise gift box. In addition to saving costs – and striving to reduce food waste – consumers benefit from the application by being able to log on to their favourite cooking stations to find products at significant discounts.

33% of all food produced in the world is wasted or lost every year. This represents nearly 1.5 billion tonnes of fuel ever consumed, or 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, four times more than the aviation industry. All this is an ecological disaster! The growing problem of food waste is difficult to solve for many reasons, including logistics, the complexity of short-lived products and the lack of a specific market to operate – with a simple system that allows people and restaurants with food surpluses to communicate and make decisions. says founder and technical entrepreneur Yindi Louis Alban Batard-Dupré.

All the food available at Yindii is delicious and unsieved and comes from first class places that simply cannot wait to be eaten tomorrow. Think about cooking in cafes or fresh food in restaurants. Our community, Food Waste Fighters, can preserve food and provide access to quality food at an affordable price, he added.

For the first 100 users who have downloaded the application, Yindii offers free shipping up to 5 km from any code store: SAVETEPLANT.

The Yindii application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices, including a first group of restaurants and cafes: Sofitel Sukhumvit, Veganeri, Ohana Poké, Broccoli Revolution, Delifrans, Sun Market, Banana Warrior, etc.

About Yindi

Because every year one third of the food produced in the world is lost or wasted, Yindii was founded with a simple mission: to ensure that tasty food that is not sold is tasty and not wasted. The company is Thailand’s first food rescue application that connects consumers to restaurants and cafes with surplus food at reduced prices. For more information about Native Americans and joining the movement, go to https://www.yindii.co or download the application from Google Play or the App Store.
